Group Fitness

Participate in a wide variety of dynamic fitness classes at the Student Recreation Center! Classes are designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced exercisers. Join us throughout the year for Yoga, Cardio Dance, Pilates, Barre, Step, Cycling, Body Pump, Body Combat and much more!

NEW: Free Classes for Students

Group Fitness Classes are free for full-time students for the 2018-2019 academic year! Students still have to have a MindBody account (scroll below to the link) and a Group Fitness Membership in order to take classes.

Fall 2018 Schedule

Starts Sept. 3
Patrons must have a Group Fitness Membership in order to take classes beginning Sept. 3.

Fall Break Class Schedule: 

Friday: Classes after 12:00PM Cancelled
Saturday: Classes Cancelled
Sunday: Classes Cancelled
Monday: Yoga 12:00-1:00PM | BodyPump 5:30-6:30PM
Tuesday: Cycling 12:00-1:00PM | Yoga 5:30-6:30PM

Taking Group Fitness Classes is a 3-Step Process:

  1. Create a MindBody account (If you do this on your phone, don't go to the Mind Body App, use the browser. The Mind Body App account and your MindBody Online account with W&M Campus Recreation are two different accounts, linked by email address). Patrons are encouraged to do this BEFORE coming to the Rec Center Front Desk to register for a Group Fitness Membership. If patrons do not do this before they come to the Rec Center Front Desk they should be directed to the computer kiosks in the Rec. Anyone who takes classes has to have a MindBody Account, even a guest ($5.00 drop-in fee)
  2. Register for a Group Fitness Membership at the Rec Center front desk.
  3. Sign-in for Classes Online or by Walk-in
