SCHEV Outstanding Faculty Award

This year, William & Mary will have the opportunity to nominate up to four faculty members to be considered for the 2024 Virginia Outstanding Faculty Awards, along with one nominee in the early-career "Rising Star" category. Instructional faculty and deans are encouraged to submit nominations for potential institutional candidates.

A nominee must possess a record of superior accomplishment in teaching, discovery, integration of knowledge, and service. A selection committee will review these initial nominations and work with the faculty chosen as W&M institutional candidates to prepare final applications for submission to SCHEV in September. Additional detail is available in the call for nominations and on the SCHEV website.

A committee comprising members of the Council, previous OFA recipients, and other education, business, and community leaders will assist SCHEV in selecting the recipients. Winners will be announced early next spring at an annual celebration in Richmond.
