Programs and Education Subcommittee
The Programs and Education Subcommittee (PEDS) is the primary educational arm of COS. PEDS is responsible for evaluating and making recommendations to the Steering Committee on integrating academic programs, student body, and staff into the effort to promote a sustainable campus. PEDS is chaired by Professor Andy Fisher.

This fall event changes each year. It has been a summit, conference and environmental assembly, the possibilities are endless!
Earth Week,
Earth Week takes place in April the week prior or the week of Earth Day. Campus activities are capped off with an Earth Day Festival that Saturday! This group tracks and advertises campus Earth Week events and plans the final Earth Day Festival. The planning of this event starts in the fall and provides the opportunity for collaboration with many student, faculty, and staff, as well as community members.
Earth Week will soon be recruiting for volunteers in the spring 2021 semester.
The DormMania Working Group is led by Nathaly Perez Rojas '22
DormMania collects dorm items in the spring and sell it yard sale style during fall move-in to divert these items from the landfill. This extremely successful group has kept thousands of pounds of items from becoming trash!
