Student Leadership Foundation

"The experience gained from the SLF supersede those of any other experience I have had in leadership training."

We believe leadership is more than just a title or position, and in Student Leadership Foundation, we will explore the process of leadership and how our identities, values, and experiences shape our leadership journey!

Regardless of your prior involvement, we believe all people have the potential to be leaders. SLF allows participants the opportunity to learn about themselves, to deepen their understanding of leadership and to apply what they have learned to impact positive change.  Leaders are moved by what they care about to make the world a better place. Let us help you do just that!

In our time together we will also aim to introduce participants to a wide range of resources on campus, including other leaders!   SLF sessions will highlight important topics such as Values-Based Leadership, Emotionally Intelligent Leadership, and Ethical Leadership to name a few. We hope to help participants improve both the capacity and efficacy of W&M students to be engaged in positive change.

If you are looking to learn more about yourself, develop a skill set to adapt to change, craft creative solutions and have the confidence to seize opportunities, then we encourage you to apply!

Participation is limited to approximately 25 students; these participants are selected through an application process that is currently underway.  Applications are due by 5pm on Monday, January 21st – don’t miss out on applying for this great opportunity.

Participation in Student Leadership Foundation is based on application.  For more information, contact [[leadership]]  (757) 221-3300.
