We LOVE our student organizations and the energy that you bring to campus life and we have missed you! In recent weeks, a team of students and professionals from across campus have worked together to establish Guidelines for Student Organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We ask RSO’s to embrace these guidelines out of respect and care for one another in order to safeguard the health of our community. This will require flexibility, innovation and a willingness to engage whole-heartedly but differently in the W&M community under pandemic conditions. The pace of our abbreviated fall semester will be demanding and different. Resilient individuals and organizations will prioritize a few key things that convene your members and the community of your group.
The guidelines are available here. Some things student organization will be asked to keep in mind:
- Choosing “Depth over Breadth” for yourself and your organization
- Modifying in-person events and activities in order to ensure safety for members and participants
- Creating an organization specific COVID-19 Response Plan
- Tracking Attendance at all in-person gatherings
An email with additional information has been sent directly to primary and secondary contacts of student organizations with additional information.
You probably have questions! As we compile these questions, you can check out the FAQ page or email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a meeting.
