About Krista

Krista is a first year student in the Masters of Higher Education Administration program in the school of Education. She is originally from the Gulf Coast and attended Florida State University for her undergrad where she received a B.S. in Human Sciences and a B.S. in Psychology. Krista was part of Fraternity & Sorority life, Dance Marathon and worked for Campus Rec as both a personal trainer at the campus gym and as an intramurals referee. Krista was able to study abroad to 7 countries during her time at FSU! After college Krista did Teach for America and served as a High School Chemistry and Biology teacher in rural, Eastern North Carolina. From there, she went on to work in DC for several charter schools in an assortment of administrative positions. Krista has also worked for a Suicide Prevention non-profit and has training in several mental health programs. Krista loves the outdoors, crafting and professional development. Krista is a certified fitness instructor and deeply value wellness; emotionally, spiritually and physically! Krista's participation in a Leadership Studies certificate program is what drove her interest in Student Affairs and higher education.
