Student Accessibility

Creating a barrier-free environment.
The Office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) works with faculty and university offices to offer a variety of services for William & Mary students who have disabilities — undergraduate, graduate, full-time, part-time, unclassified — with reasonable and appropriate accommodation for the duration of their time at the university.
Housing Related Accommodations
If you require any housing-related accommodations due to a diagnosed disability, you must register with Student Accessibility Services (SAS). All requests and documentation must be submitted by June 1, 2022. Once SAS receives completed registration and documentation information, you will be scheduled for our next available intake appointment. We will process requests submitted after the deadline as soon as possible, but approvals may be delayed due to housing availability and other factors. We will notify Residence Life if we approve your accommodation.

Once SAS receives completed registration and documentation information, you will be scheduled for our next available intake appointment. We will process requests submitted after the deadline as soon as possible, but approvals may be delayed due to housing availability and other factors.
All students are permitted to bring an air purifier for their residence hall room, if needed or desired.

Requesting Academic & Non-Housing Related Accommodations
Reasonable and appropriate accommodations are determined through a flexible, interactive process involving the student and SAS staff. Final responsibility for selecting the most appropriate accommodation rests with Student Accessibility Services. To ensure adequate review and time for a productive interactive process, new students should submit requests no later than July 30, 2022. Once SAS receives completed registration and documentation information, you will be scheduled for our next available intake appointment. We will process requests received after the deadline as soon as possible, but approvals may be delayed.
