Orientation is a busy time for incoming students. Between moving into your new home and acclimating yourself to our campus life, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.
Schedules are also available in the Orientation area of the W&M Mobile app. Download the app and select the New Students & Families experience to access information including move-in maps and schedules, key app features including Tribe Card, Transit and Academic Tools, and to receive important notifications and updates from the Student Transition Engagement Programs office.
Class of 2025 New Students
Our orientation schedule is the best of all worlds: it's academic, it's social, and it's unique — just like our university. Community is a big part of how we do orientation and you go through the experience alongside those in your residential community. This means that while everyone gains exposure to the same content and information, each residence hall will have its own unique schedule of events - and thus the importance of a Highlights Schedule.
Transfer, Exchange & Joint Degree Programme HOST Students
Tailored to you being an experienced student, your orientation schedules look different from the traditional first-time-in-college freshman experience... but includes all of the great opportunities to meet one another and learn about our community's expectations and resources.
Continuing William & Mary students who studied remotely during the fall 2020 and/or spring 2021 semesters and Class of 2024 students who want to participate in our Welcome Days should plan to make their residence hall check-in appointment on either Saturday, August 28 or Sunday, August 29 per the upper-level student schedule.
