New Students

Step 1: Registration Period 1

Login to Banner to register for courses

New Students
  • July 17 at 12:00 p.m. - July 27 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Most students register for up to 8 credit hours
Transfer Students
  • June 26 at 12:00 p.m. - July 3 at 11:59 p.m.
  • July 31 at 8:00 a.m. - August 16 at 11:59 p.m. (schedule adjustment period)
  • Undeclared students register for up to 11 credit hours and declared students register for up to 16 credit hours
  • Friday, June 16, is the deadline for entering transfer students to declare a major prior to summer registration. Declaration of major forms received after June 16 will be processed at the start of the fall semester.
Step 2: Meet With Your Faculty Advisor
  • During orientation, you'll receive information from your orientation aide about signing up for an appointment with your faculty advisor
  • Your faculty advisor will provide you with an Alternate PIN. Your PIN is required in order to register during the second registration and the add/drop periods
  • Note: The Registrar's Office is unable to provide Alternate PINs to students. Please contact your faculty advisor or the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs for help with Alternate PINs
Step 3: Registration Period 2
  • Transfer/New Students: Tuesday, August 29 
    • 8:15-8:45 a.m. OR 9:05-9:35 a.m.
    • 9:55-10:25 a.m. (all)
  • Register for up to 16 credit hours
  • Registration occurs in two groups. Learn more about the group registration structure.
  • Register for courses in Banner using the Alternate PIN provided by your faculty advisor
Step 4: Add/Drop Period
  • Tuesday, August 29 at 1:00 p.m. - Monday, September 11 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Register for up to 18 credit hours
  • Register for courses in Banner using the Alternate PIN provided by your faculty advisor
  • After Monday, September 11 at 11:59 p.m. you will be unable to add or drop courses from your schedule
Additional Registration Information
Search for Courses

If you received an override from an instructor, you must add the class before midnight Monday, September 11. You can view overrides posted by instructors for you on the "Check Your Registration Status" page in Banner. Please note, instructors cannot register you for classes.


Beginning September 12, you must withdraw from a course in order to remove it from your schedule. A withdrawal will result in a grade of "W" on your academic record for that course. A withdrawal to an underload (fewer than 12 earned hours) is not permitted without an appeal to the Committee on Academic Status.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are due and payable by the due date as established by the Bursar's Office.
