W&M Winter Programs

W&M faculty-led programs during the winter break

Deadline Extensions: Oman (September 24) and Beijing (October 7)

Programs will likely vary from year to year, offering new locations and courses. Courses taken abroad are eligible for COLL300. Most programs are taught by W&M faculty, and grades/credits will be posted on your official W&M transcript. Students will pay a program fee and a $75 non-refundable application fee.

Apply for a W&M Winter Program
  • September 16, 2019 is the deadline to apply for W&M Winter 2020 Study Abroad Programs.
  • Apply directly for each program through the links above or through the W&M Winter portal.
  • If you wish to submit a late application or registration to study abroad, you must complete an appeal to the committee on exceptions form. A $100 late fee with apply. 
  • Scholarships available vary by program. Please visit each program site to learn more about funding opportunities.
Non-W&M Winter Programs
If you are planning to attend a Non-W&M Winter Program, you will need to submit a Petition to Attend a Non-Approved Study Abroad Program. by November 1. These programs must start after the W&M scheduled fall exam period and end two days prior to the start of the spring semester. Please visit our Non-W&M Programs page for more information.
