As the Special Programs Advisor, Marina assists with many types of programs in the Global Education Office, including winter programs, School of Education programs, Raymond A. Mason School of Business programs, and new summer faculty programs. She also processes all study abroad transcripts and transfer credits.
Prior to joining the GEO team at William & Mary, Marina earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Florida State University and a master’s degree in Biodiversity and Conservation from the University of Southampton. She has spent the majority of her previous work experience abroad as a program director in the Caribbean, running a research facility in Cambodia, and serving as the program manager and an instructor onboard with SeaMester, where she has sailed over 20,000 miles with study abroad students. Now that she is stateside, Marina’s goal is to help facilitate student study abroad programs to allow others to achieve their own international experiences.
