About Emmanuel
Favorite Spot On-Campus: Sunken Garden - It is located at the center of the W&M campus. As the name suggests, it features flowers, beautifully trimmed grass, and benches where you can sit and chat with friends. The open space makes it soothing to sit and relax after a long day! I think it is the most interesting place to hang out in spring or summer.
Advice to New Students: Transitioning to a new country might be difficult, but you can navigate it well if you give it the right attitude. Always communicate frequently with your family abroad, whether via voice or video calls; this will help you not feel separated. Also, know that there will be cultural differences. Learn to relate to others with different perspectives early, as it will help you not to feel excluded.
