Student Health Insurance

Mandatory Health Insurance

Due to the extremely high cost of health care in the United States and the importance of adequate health insurance coverage, William & Mary requires all students to have adequate health insurance coverage as a condition of enrollment. All students will be billed automatically for the William & Mary Health Insurance Plan, unless they are approved for a waiver.

The health insurance fee will be billed to each F-1 and J-1 student's account at W&M and will be added to the total cost of tuition and fees. Students will be billed for the yearly coverage in 2 installments: once before the fall semester and once at the beginning of the spring semester.

W&M Health Insurance Plan

The W&M Student Health Insurance Plan is administered by the Student Health Center.
