School Kits: Annual LHM Fundraiser

Sponsored by: Latin American Student Union
Description: All month long, LASU is accepting donations for our School Kits fundraiser. The fundraiser is in collaboration with Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools and ESL departments at various schools in the county.
Virginia provides significantly lower targeted support for ELL (English Language Learner) students than the national average. A lack of funding within school districts specifically targeted to ESL departments leaves teachers without resources to buy or acquire materials for their students on their own. Our goal is to provide essential school supplies to help mitigate the disadvantage and promote academic excellency.
The kits will include books, flashcards, journals, pen/pencils, and other school supplies and essentials. For more inforamtion, please check @wmlasu on Instagram or visit www.lasu.org, donations can be made to lasu-wm on Venmo.
