Colonial Williamsburg is the largest living museum in the country. Our motto is "So the future can learn from the past."

We normally only bring on year-round volunteers. However, we do work with William and Mary to provide internship opportunities to students for one semester or more. Also, we have a shared internship opportunity (not necessarily for academic credit) and work through the Career Services office at William and Mary. Most of our volunteer positions require a commitment of hours and training with a year-round position. Volunteer opportunities are numerous and varied. They include maintaining gardens, assisting with visitor information, assisting with public relations and marketing, clerical support, animal care and much more.
