Created with a charge from President Katherine Rowe in August 2020, the Presidential Call to Service Council (PCSC) brings together people and resources involved in community engagement from across campus to provide strategic support for the president's charge to expand and deepen William & Mary's call to service.
The PCSC will attract new partners in community, connect resources and expertise to strengthen and expand our current partnerships, and advise whole-institution community engagement and service efforts. Members will also assist fundraising efforts to support community engagement initiatives at the university. By doing so, the PCSC will elevate the profile and reach of community engagement and cultivate deep human connections through service.
The PCSC was formed at the recommendation of the Broad Calls to Service Squad, which was part of the university's Planning Ahead effort convened in April 2020.
