One Home, Many Hands Project

In an exciting new partnership between the Office of Community Engagement, Habitat for Humanity of the Peninsula, and Housing Partnerships, the William and Mary community is coming together and working with a local community member to build a new home.  Mainly powered by students, construction is scheduled to begin in August 2012.  The Many Hands One Home Project is also a featured component of this year’s William and Mary Combined Virginia Campaign, and all funds designated to either Habitat or Housing Partnerships this year will go directly to supporting the build and student volunteers. Through the many hands of our campus and partners, we will come together to build one home while raising awareness about affordable housing’s impact on the Williamsburg community.
