Austin is the coordinator for edcuational programs including CPK (College Partnership for Kids), a tutoring organization that partners with schools in Williamsburg-James City County and York County, Project Phoenix and Lafayette Kids. Originally from Alexandria, VA, he came to William & Mary as an undergraduate and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Geology and Environmental Studies. As an undergrad he worked with many OCE programs as well as the Admissions Office and the Geology Department. After graduating he went on to teach middle school science in South Dakota on the Rosebud Indian Reservation through the Teach for America program. Austin is also enrolled part-time in School of Education’s Higher Education Administration program.
