Through the Salesforce campus-wide constituent relationship management (CRM) system, we bring together the processes related to recruitment, student success, and advancement into one platform.
The CRM bridges the processes of university departments across one platform, equipping the faculty and staff to make informed decisions and provide personalized services to our common constituents. In doing so, it helps our constituents – students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, corporate partners, volunteers, and friends – engage effectively with the university.
Want access to Salesforce? Access is granted based on job function. To be granted access, send a request to [[support]]. Once the request is approved by the data owner, you'll be contacted with instructions for training.
Salesforce uses a two-step verification system called Duo for authentication. After enrolling in Duo, you can log in to Salesforce by going to the IT Links website (itlinks.wm.edu). There is a link to Salesforce CRM Prod (aka Production) and Salesforce CRM Sandbox (aka Test) on the left-hand navigation menu.
Salesforce is compatible with Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Note: Internet Explorer does not work for Salesforce.
Upgrades & Maintenance
Upgrades to the CRM and maintenance periods are dictated by Salesforce. There is no reoccurring maintenance window, but will occasionally undergo maintenance which may result in brief complete or partial outages. Outages will be announced via email to users and posted on the IT System Status site. Please plan accordingly.
Upgrades and maintenance windows to certain CRM packages, like Target X and Linvio, are managed and scheduled by W&M IT on an as needed basis. Outages will be announced via email to users.
