Access Voicemail
Voicemail is accessed on all phones either by:
- Pushing the Voicemail button
- Pushing the "#" sign on the dial pad
- Dialing 757-221-1000
- Through Connect
Set/Reset the Voicemail Password on Your Phone
New Phone:
- Obtain a temporary password from the Technology Support Center (TSC)
- Press Voicemail button on your new ShoreTel phone or call 757-221-1000
- Enter the temporary password
- Follow the prompts to complete the setup
Reset password with old password:
- Press Voicemail button on your new ShoreTel phone or call 757-221-1000
- Enter password and #
- Press 7 - Mailbox Options
- Press 4 - Set Password
- Enter new password and #
Don't remember your Voicemail password? Contact the Technology Support Center to have it reset.
Forward Messages to Your Email Inbox
Mitel Connect on Windows:
- At the top left of the Mitel window, click on Connect
- Select Settings... from the dropdown menu
- Select the Notifications tab
- Check Send email about incoming voicemail to...
- Check Attach voicemail as a wave file
- Optional: Check Mark voicemail as heard
Mitel Connect on Mac:
- At the top left of the screen, click on Mitel Connect
- Select Preferences from the dropdown menu
- Select the Notifications tab
- Check Send email about incoming voicemail to...
- Check Attach voicemail as a wave file
- Optional: Check Mark voicemail as heard
Extended Absence
Leaving for a while? Turn on an extended absence greeting. Just follow these steps:
- Access your Voicemail box
- Enter your Password and the press "#"
- Press 7 - Mailbox options
- Press 2 - Call Handling Mode
- Press 4 - Extended Absence
- Press 1 - Personal Greeting
- Record a greeting
- Press "#" and hang-up
When you return, remove the extended absence greeting:
- Access your Voicemail box
- Enter your Password and the press "#"
- Press 7 - Mailbox Options
- Press 2 - Call Handling Mode
- Press 1 - Enable Standard Call Handling Mode
- Hang-up
