Network Storage Drives
The H: Drive and G: Drive and Academic Storage may be accessed from on campus or off campus.
Campus Domain (G: Drive, H: Drive) - Faculty & Staff
The Campus Domain allows faculty and staff to log in to a collection of Information Technology servers for access to shared network resources such as an H: Drive for work-related personal space, group space (G: Drive) for campus departments.
- Group Space (G: Drive) - Departmental Space for Faculty and Staff - For access to the G: Drive for new faculty and staff, an authorized departmental representative must contact the TSC at 757-221-4357 (HELP) or support@wm.edu to submit a request.
- Personal Network Space (H: Drive) - Faculty and Staff (5GB) - The H: Drive is personal network space for university-related materials made available to faculty and staff. In public labs and offices this is automatically mapped as the H: Drive, but it can also be accessed on your personal machine by mapping to the drive while on campus. Users seeking additional file storage space could utilize an additional storage option like Box or OneDrive.
Academic Storage (ACStore)
IT provides additional network storage space to William & Mary faculty and research groups needing larger amounts of storage for academically-related digital materials through the ACStore.
Off-Campus Access to Network Drives
Off-campus access is available using a secure FTP client with the host name sftp.wm.edu. You'll need to provide your W&M Username and password. You can also access network drives using William & Mary's VPN or a Virtual Desktop (VDI).
