You can access Yammer by going to office.wm.edu and clicking on the Yammer tile.

Make a Group

Groups can be created within Yammer by individual users.  However, these groups do not have access to Office 365 resources outside of Yammer.  

If you would like to create a Group within Yammer with access to Office 365 resources, use the O365 Group Creation Request form to make a request.  Please allow one business day for your Group to be created.  Once your Group has been set-up, you can add team members and content. 

Group Expiration 

Yammer groups created by a user (without access to Office 365 resources) will not expire. 

Groups that have access to Microsoft Office 365 resources, by default, will expire one year after the creation date.  However, Group owners will have the option to keep the Group active beyond that time period. 

When the Group expires, so do all the documents associated with the Group. For that reason, Yammer should only be used as a short-term storage solution.  Use Box, Network Storage Drives, or OneDrive for long-term storage.  

Data Recovery Period

There is a 30-day data recovery window after the Group expires.
