Information Technology Accessibility Compliance Plan
In adherence to Information Technology's Accessibility Policy and Standard, a complete analysis was conducted to determine what products and services supported by IT require action to make them more accessible to people with disabilities. The approach started with a complete inventory of all IT products and services. The seven technology product areas outlined in the IT Accessibility Standard were used to catalog the complete inventory. The next step was to review each product/service and assess whether it was compliant with the technical standards set forth in the Accessibility Standard. Then, each product/service was catalogued as either requiring action to bring the product/service into compliance or no-action required. This latter classification was assigned to products/services that IT either purchased from another vendor or products/services that didn't appear to present an immediate obstable for person's with disabilities. The final analysis determined that internally developed websites are the items we can affect the most change. For other products and services our plan is to meet the individual need if/when it arises.
