TED Talk Tuesdays occur approximately once a month to help leaders from all levels and areas of the university meet and discuss ideas that affect our world. Faculty and staff are encouraged not only to come and participate, but to facilitate a talk.
What are TED Talks? Here's a blurb from the TED site:
TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. On TED.com, we're building a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world's most inspired thinkers — and a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at TED and TEDx events around the world, all year long.
At William & Mary, we encourage dialogue on topics that effect us, stretch us, and help us grow...intellectually, as leaders, and as beings who care and want a better world. TED Talk Tuesdays are usually hosted on the 3rd Tuesday (and occasionally on the 2nd Tuesday) of the month.
