If you experience a qualifying mid-year event (QME) and would like to make changes to your health insurance and/or flexibile spending accounts, you have 60 days from the date of the event within which to make the change. To make the desired changes, you must submit a completed Health Enrollment Form (pdf) as well as any required supporting documentation (as listed for the specific QME) within that 60-day period.
Qualifying mid-year events include, but are not limited to, marriage or divorce, birth or adoption of a child, the beginning or ending of unpaid leave, your spouse/child's new eligibility under their employer's health plan, a change in your employment status (full-time to part-time or vice versa), and enrollment in a Marketplace Exchange health plan. Please note that not all QMEs allow for changes to your health plan and/or flexible spending accounts.
