The Relocation Analysis Project
About the Relocation Analysis Project
The Relocation Analysis Project is a student-run research project at the Global Research Institute. The team works to use geospatial analysis to combat climate displacement. This project is an extension of founder Lauren Boyes’s work with the Project on International Peace and Security (PIPS), where she demonstrated that geographic information systems can be used to identify the most suitable and sustainable locations for the relocation of climate vulnerable communities. The team develops models of displacement threats and relocation opportunities for use by countries worried about the detrimental effects of climate displacement.
