Lieutenant Colonel Joe Roman is an Army strategist who currently serves in the Office of the Secretary of the Army. He has previously worked at the Army Human Resources Command, U.S. Army Pacific, the 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, 5th Special Forces Group, the Sapper Leader Course, and the 82d Airborne Division. His 16 years of service includes multiple deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His interests include policy and strategy, economics, and organizational behavior.
He holds a Master of Public Administration from John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Indiana University.
