TribeLink Student Involvement

Due July 24

Involvement is more than just showing up.

At William & Mary, we believe that student leadership development is a cornerstone in supporting our students to become engaged citizens. Student leadership involves cultivating a frame of mind for exploring self, others and community. Leaders develop a skill set to adapt to change, craft creative solutions and seize opportunities. Leaders are moved by what they care about to make the world a better place.

Student organizations are responsible for many of the programs and events held on campus each year including social events, lectures, special events, cultural events and conferences. Being a part of an organization and helping to plan and put on one of these events, or to lead an organization, can teach you valuable skills that you can use throughout your lifetime.

TribeLink

TribeLink is William & Mary’s student engagement platform designed to enhance your involvement experience while at William & Mary. To get started with TribeLink there are a few things you need to do!

Download the Corq App

Corq is an app that allows you to discover the wide breadth of campus involvement opportunities (organizations and events) from your phone.

To download the app, simply visit Google Play or the Apple App Store and search for "Corq (by Campus Labs Engage)." You can then download the app for free to your chosen device.

Explore the Wide Range of Opportunities to Get Involved On Campus Using TribeLink

Take some time to explore the vast involvement opportunities available to you. You can do this either through TribeLink on your computer OR from Corq. You can explore without logging in to either TribeLink or Corq, but if you want increase access to see more events or information about organizations, you can log in using your W&M credentials.

As you explore, take some time to reflect on what would make your involvement the most meaningful.  Here are some questions to consider:

  • What do you care about? (People, places, causes, events, trends, cultures, etc.)
  • What skills, knowledge, or insights do you want to develop?
  • What energizes you or restores your well-being?

We want you to become familiar with all of the awesome opportunities to get involved in at W&M, however, please do not request to join any organizations yet! Organizations will begin the process of recruiting new members when the academic year begins and you can begin to request to join AFTER New Student Orientation. Trust us! There will be plenty of time to join clubs and organizations in the future.
