The city offers drop off computer recycling at the Household Chemical Collections.
If you miss the HCC Collections there are several computer recyclers in the area:

Fluorescent Light Bulbs/CFLs Recycling

Are collected at the Household Chemical Collections.
Also, local Home Depot recycles CFLs.  Bulbs can be dropped off at 6700 Mooretown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188.

Motor Oil Recycling

TV Recycling

There are several options on the Peninsula, some at no charge--some charge a small fee.

Wire Hanger Recycling

Most dry cleaners will accept hangers.

Items not accepted:

  • Business or medical waste
  • Compressed gas cylinders
  • Explosives, ammunition or gun powder
  • Shock sensitive materials
  • Radioactive products or household trash
