Central Utilities provides steam, hot and chilled water to many of the building on campus. A new plant, the West Plant is under construction and will afford the opportunity to connect additional buildings to central utilities. The use of Central Utilities provides a more reliable and energy efficient approach to heating and cooling spaces throughout the campus. The Central Utilities team is continuously looking for areas to improve both reliability and energy efficiency. Over $2.0 million will have been invested in FY18/FY19 collectively to improve the existing plants.
