Building Maintenance

Operations and Maintenance personnel provide a comprehensive approach to the operation and maintenance of the College facilities. This requires a diverse work force of skilled and professional personnel who maintain the plumbing, fire protection, electrical, roofing, carpentry, elevator, HVAC, locks, architectural, and structural components of the University’s buildings.

We provide quality service in an efficient and professional manner to ensure building safety and comfort and are committed to sustaining operations and maintenance of all buildings.  To assure fulfillment of our commitment, William & Mary has adopted the following service goals:

  • Increase operational effectiveness & efficiency of campus buildings and infrastructure.
  • Minimize interruptions to building systems such as electrical service and heating and air-conditioning systems.
  • Maintain a safe work, living and academic environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors.
