Accommodations and Disability Access
The Office of Diversity & Inclusion makes official university determinations regarding accommodations for employees with disabilities. Employees or applicants for employment with questions about disability access should contact the Office at 757-221-2617. To request a reasonable accommodation, please submit the Reasonable Accommodation Request form to the Office of Diversity & Inclusion. Refer to the Employee Reasonable Accommodation Policy and Procedure for more information.

Employees of the university requiring accessible parking on a temporary basis should provide appropriate documentation from a certified doctor to this office, located in the Hornsby House at 336 Jamestown Road. Parking Services does not issue these passes to employees of the university. If you have a documented disability that exceeds six weeks, please contact the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles to apply for a temporary or permanent Disabled Parking Placard. Student Accessibility Services, located in the Dean of Students Office (Campus Center - Room 109), handles all student access inquiries. The mission of Student Accessibility Services is to create a barrier-free environment for matriculated students with disabilities by considering reasonable accommodation upon request on an individual and flexible basis.
