Access & Inclusion


The Office of Diversity & Inclusion provides key services to faculty and staff to help ensure they have equal opportunity in terms of access and inclusion in the workplace. The following equal opportunity programs and services complement the Office's diversity programs:

  • Developing and monitoring W&M's affirmative action programs
  • Providing accommodations for employees and applicants with disabilities as well as religious accommodations
  • Assisting search committees in the recruitment and hiring process
The Office does not handle complaints or grievances of discrimination or harassment.  The Office of Diversity & Inclusion works closely with the Office of Compliance & Equity, which coordinates W&M's discrimination, harassment, and sexual violence prevention and response.  Online organization charts provide more information about which university offices are involved in W&M's discrimination and harassment prevention and response work.
