The Dean's Council

The Dean of Students Advisory Councils are forums for collaborative dialogue between current students and the Dean. Monthly, the Dean of Students meets with each council to discuss current ideas, insights, and concerns, and brainstorm potential solutions. The Dean’s councils provide the student body opportunities to meet, collaborate, and work through issues related to student success, student well-being, and campus climate, directly with the Dean of Students.

One charge of each council is to increase awareness about resources, supports, and services that are available through the Dean of Students Office, the Student Success Thematic Unit, and the University as a whole.

The Dean's Council will be comprised of 12 current student representatives from a wide variety of majors, organizations, and affiliations across campus. Invitations to apply are open to any current student. Councils meet monthly for an hour on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 PM.  This is an annual appointment.

Applications are now live! Applications are due by 11:59 PM, November 1st!
