Tribe TutorZone

The TutorZone will open on Sunday, January 26 for the Spring 2020 semester. Due to recent changes in the academic calendar, the TutorZone will go remote for the remainder of the semester and be fully operational starting Monday, March 23.

The Tribe TutorZone, an Academic Enrichment Program, is a place where peer tutors provide low-fee tutoring services in many subjects. The TutorZone only offers one-on-one tutoring, not group tutoring.

Our tutors are friendly, faculty-recommended students who are trained to assist fellow students with the development of independent learning skills in particular subjects. If this is your first tutor meeting, please read What to Expect.

Cost and Fee Waivers

A 60-minute tutoring session is $12.00. A 90-minute session is $18.00.

All charges will be billed to your student account at the end of each month. You will never need to bring money to an appointment.

For students with financial need, fee waivers are available for use of the TutorZone

The Tribe TutorZone is located on the first floor of Swem Library. Tutoring sessions for the Spring 2020 semester will be conducted via Zoom.

Summer Tutoring

Summer tutoring is available on a limited basis.

Free One-on-One Time Management Session

The Tribe TutorZone's online scheduling system can also be used to register for a free one-on-one time-management session provided by Academic Enrichment Programs.

A Tribe TutorZone session is easily scheduled online. You select the subject, the tutor, and the time for your appointment. 48-hours advance notice is needed for an appointment to be arranged. All tutoring appointments for Spring 2020 will be conducted online via Zoom. Prior to your meeting, your tutor will send a Zoom link for the session.
