By contributing to the DC Summer Institutes (DCSI), you will be giving students the opportunity to experience all that DC has to offer! In fact, just a few dollars goes a long way to making this rigorous academic opportunity more affordable to all students.
You can contribute online now with your credit card, using our secure web server. The contribution form will be pre-selected to direct your gift to DCSI, which supports students directly.
Anything you donate, whether $5 or $5,000, will make a tremendous difference in the lives of our students. Thank you for your support!
Where Does Your Money Go?
Every dollar you donate will go directly student program experiences. Examples of need include:
- Metro fare for unpaid student interns (students pay about $6/day just to commute to and from work)
- Admission to cultural institutions like Mount Vernon and the Phillips Collection
- Academic fees ($250/student/summer)
- Summer tuition
- Partial scholarships for needy students
- Subsidies for housing costs
The Study in DC Intern Fund
Graduating with internship experience is now essential as students face tough competition for employment, but unfortunately these incredible opportunities are being denied to an increasing number of the William & Mary students who most need them — students who cannot afford to work at unpaid or low paid internships. The Study in DC Intern Fund provides grants to these students - by contributing to this fund, you will be giving our students the opportunity to experience all that DC has to offer.
