"The Battleground 2012": W&M Law Students Blog About the Election
A student-sponsored "State of Elections" blog at William & Mary Law School is hosting a two-day series of commentaries titled "The Battleground 2012," featuring original analysis and reporting by student writers. Topics range from shoehorning third party candidates onto ballots in Oklahoma, to the finance free-for-all in Missouri, and the aftermath of September's early-voting battle in Ohio.
First-year law students Jacob Derr and Tony Glosson edit the blog. According to Derr, the special series "will look at some of the fights going on in several states considered 'battlegrounds' of this election cycle, where either the presidential race is close or there is a state race that is strategic to the national party." Glosson added that the student contributors seek to take readers "inside battles that, in an election cycle as contentious as this one, will continue in the courtroom long after election day."
The Election Law Society, a multi-partisan student organization dedicated to studying the legal issues raised through the American electoral process, publishes the blog.
