Davis is a PhD student in education policy. He studies the intersection of race and education reform, and the effects of principal leadership on school climate. His dissertation is a critical discourse analysis of White policy actors’ public statements concerning the state takeover of Little Rock School District and dissolution of the majority-Black school board by the majority-White state board of education. He is a fan of live music and theatre, and he likes to go to places with a wide selection of museums, galleries, parks, and coffee shops.
