As we have done for the past dozen years, the Virginia Shakespeare Festival will continue to hold a series of Young Shakespeare Camps in Phi Beta Kappa Hall on the campus of the College of William & Mary. They are all one week long, meeting 9am to 4pm Monday through Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Friday (where their final project is presented from 4 to 5pm in the Studio Theatre). Dates and ages for these camps in 2017 are as follows:
Week 1 - June 26 - 30 (ages 10 - 12)
Week 2 - July 3 - 7 (ages 13 - 15)
Week 3 - July 10 - 14 (ages 16 - 18)
Tuition is $275 per week, per camper - these are day camps so housing is not provided. Those attending from out of town are most welcome but would need to find their own housing and transportatioin for the week. Registration for these camps begins at 9am on February 15 and is done via an email sent with the subject line "Camp Registration" to email@example.com and indicating which week of camp you are requesting. Camps are filled on a first come, first served basis and tend to sell out very quickly (last year's high school week sold out in 6 minutes). After receiving your email request, staff will send back registration materials as an email attachment and then payment is required within two weeks to secure that registration.
