How you register or apply for summer school classes depends on your current status as a high school or college-level student; and your current relationship with William & Mary.
Current William & Mary Students
W&M undergraduates who are currently enrolled ("degree-seeking") can register via Banner Student Self Service at myWM. You do not need to complete any special registration forms, and no special PIN is required.
Current College-Level Students
The following groups are considered "non-degree-seeking" or "unclassified" students:
- W&M Alumni
- Incoming W&M Freshmen
- Visiting Undergraduates
- Graduating High School Students (students who graduate just before or during the summer session)
There are two steps for registering for summer school:
- At least ten days before the start of classes, complete the Non-Degree Seeking Registration Form [pdf] and send it to:
William & Mary
Office of the University Registrar
P.O. Box 8795
Williamsburg, Virginia 23187-8795
Fax Number: 757-221-2151
The form will be used to create or reactivate your record in the College's Student Information System. Once you have a registration record, the Registrar's Office will provide detailed information for how to to use the on-line registration system (Banner Student Self Service) to add classes to your summer schedule.
- If you are a Virginia resident and want to qualify for the Virginia tuition rate, complete the Application for In-State Tuition Privileges [pdf] and submit it with your application.
Please note that enrollment in summer session courses does not constitute admission to the W&M's degree-seeking programs.
Current High School Students
Continuing high school students (rising high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors) are considered "Non-Degree-Seeking Concurrent High School Students," and can apply for admission up to May 15 (for summer session 1) and June 15 (for summer session 2) through the Admission Office. Once admitted, you will receive detailed information for how to register for classes via Banner.
