Insurance Cards and the International Student Identity Card

Supplemental Health Insurance. As a St Andrews student, you will be covered by the UK National Health Services; however, the College requires you to purchase CISI insurance (Cultural Insurance Services International) or another supplemental policy. This coverage includes medical, emergency medical reunion, emergency evacuation/repatriation, and more. You can find more information about the CISI from the Reves Center.

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC).

The ISIC is the most widely accepted proof of student status. It comes with basic health insurance coverage, travel insurance, and includes ISIConnect, a complete communication tool with both calling card and cell phone options. Moreover, the ISIC gives you access to the Student Travel Association's discounted rates and confirms your eligibility for existing student discounts in the countries you visit. You can purchase your ISIC for $25 through the ISIC website.
