Project Details
Professor Amy Quark oversees a set of community-engaged research collaborations and internships focused on food justice. Currently, this includes research with Dr. Travis Harris (PhD ’19 American Studies) on the legacies of racial dispossession on food insecurity and health disparities in Williamsburg-James City County. Professor Quark also oversees an internship opportunity for academic credit (2 credits) for up to two students to lead the Food Justice League, an after-school club at Matthew Whaley Elementary School during the fall semester.
