Jessica Johnson, Visiting Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Washington. Her research focuses on  critical race, feminist, and queer theory, as well as affect and political theory, in relation to American religions and global Christianity. She will teach "Religion, the State, and American Politics," "New Religious Movements in America," and a new course on "Gender, Sexuality, and Religion in America."
