Virginia Inpatient Care Reports
The Schroeder Center for Health Policy released three reports that provide detailed descriptions of the inpatient acute care provided to Virginia residents and visitors to the state. The reports describe the demographic traits of patients hospitalized in Virginia, their admission types, and the conditions for which they were treated. In addition, data pertaining to patients’ discharge status and length of stay are presented along with information on billable charges and the primary source of payment for inpatient hospital care. These reports also provide statistical summaries of inpatient hospital stays by the geographic locations of hospitals and patients.
