W&M Public Policy: Graduate Program

We provide our students with the intellectual tools needed to improve the quality of policymaking in the United States and abroad. Our full-time residential program combines the world-renowned faculty and academic setting of W&M’s Williamsburg, Virginia campus with frequent off-campus programs in Washington and work with real-world clients.

MPP students can concentrate either in U.S.-domestic focused Public Policy Analysis (PPA) or comparative and internationally focused International Development and Policy (IDP) - learn more about which track is right for you. Each of our tracks is limited to 25 new students per year - a size that allows unmatched access to faculty members and a strong sense of community. The strong applied and analytic skills of our MPP graduates are highly regarded by the public and private sector in both the U.S. and abroad.
