PUBP 605 - Macroeconomics for Public Policy

The course provides a broad based understanding of macroeconomic concepts and an introduction to the tools of global macroeconomic policy analysis.  It starts with the role of government policy in promoting long-term growth.  In addition, the focus lies on the role of fiscal, monetary, and exchange rate politics in both developed and developing countries.  The impact of policies is studied both domestically and internationally with emphasis on the interdependence and global repercussions of specific policy choices.
