David D. Limbrick, Jr., M.D., Ph.D. is currently Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery and Professor of Neurological Surgery and Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He is actively engaged in translational and multicenter clinical research and serves Principal Investigator for the North American research consortium for Chiari malformation and syringomyelia. He also leads teams of investigators using administrative data to evaluate the influence of socioeconomic and other factors on access to neurosurgical care and patient outcomes. Dr. Limbrick holds several patents in neurosurgical technologies and is active in translating novel strategies into commercially viable clinical solutions. Active in surgical education locally, nationally, and internationally, Dr. Limbrick regularly travels to resource-limited regions of the world to provide education and neurosurgical care to the underserved.
