The Makerspaces are closed for Fall 2025.
Due to active relocation activities, the Makerspaces at William & Mary will remain closed for typical use during the remainder of the Fall 2025 semester. Find us on the ground floor of ISC4 in Spring 2026.
Thanks for bearing with us while the equipment is shutdown, tools are moved, and a new suite of capabilities are readied to further enable advanced experiential learning, teaching, and research at The Nation’s Alma Mater.
About the Makerspaces
Our Mission
The mission of the Makerspaces at William & Mary is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration alongside tools and resources of the modern age in an effort to amplify the community’s productive, innovative and entrepreneurial efforts & spirit.
Values
The Makerspaces value a community within which people having diverse interests come together to collaborate and work towards productive goals. The Makerspaces can be viewed as community prototyping, fabrication and engineering centers incorporating elements of machine shops, research labs, workshops and art studios where makers can come together to share resources and knowledge to build and prototype their ideas. The Makerspaces are where people with vastly different experiences collide on common interests, resulting in an output of innovative thinking, doing, and making.
