Students will receive 4 hours of college credit for the successful completion of the W&M Pre-College Program. These credits are transferable to other colleges and universities throughout the United States and abroad. It is at the discretion of your undergraduate college/university to decide how these 4 credits will be applied (i.e. whether they will be counted as a core history requirement or listed as an elective course).
When transferring credits from the Pre-College Summer Program to your undergraduate institution, contact the institution’s academic advising office. Credits will not automatically transfer to other universities. You will need to order an official transcript from the College of William & Mary and have it sent to your school of choice. To make the transfer process as easy as possible, it is recommended that you keep your course syllabus, as it can be submitted to the academic advising office and help your case for applying these credits to an American history requirement.
To request an official copy of your transcript, Pre-College students will need to contact the Office of the University Registrar. Official transcripts cost $7 per transcript. Transcript requests may be submitted online, in person or by mail. Follow the instructions on the Registrar's website and direct any questions to their knowledgeable staff.
