In the event that a student must withdraw from the program, NIAHD may provide a partial refund. The amount refunded is determined based on when we receive notice of your withdrawal.
When NIAHD accepts students into the Pre-College Summer Program in Early American History, we reserve places in our program under the assumption that they intend to come. Spaces in the program are limited. Assigning a space to one student may automatically deny another student the opportunity to attend. Tuition refunds may be granted under the following guidelines:
APRIL WITHDRAWAL: If a student withdraws before May 1, NIAHD will refund the entire payment minus the non-refundable deposit.
MAY WITHDRAWAL: If a student withdraws on/after May 1 and before June 1, NIAHD will refund one half the total payment.
JUNE WITHDRAWAL: If a student withdraws on/after June 1 and before the beginning of the student’s summer program session, NIAHD will refund one fourth of the total payment.
WITHDRAWAL AFTER THE START OF THE PROGRAM: If a student withdraws after their summer program session begins, NIAHD will not make any refunds.
Deposit: A $400 non-refundable deposit is required of all students to secure their place in the NIAHD Pre-College Summer Program. Deposits are due two weeks after the date that a student is offered a place in the program.
Total Payment: Total payment is the total cost of tuition for enrolling in the W&M Pre-College Program, which includes the $400 non-refundable deposit. The deadline for remitting a student’s full tuition is determined at the time of acceptance and can be found on the acceptance offer letter.
